CAILLE “HYGIENIC” LUNG TESTER. A Mike Gorski creation. As typical of Mike, he goes to the Nth degree to reproduce an arcade machine. As good as, if not better than the original, this attractive machine features beveled glass panels, quartersawn oak cabinet, a cast and embossed rear panel featuring a strong man of the time period in his loincloth, and all contained upon a marbelized and nickel plated replica Caille pedestal. The concept being that a coin was deposited and the person would blow into the tube, trying to raise the colored liquid indicator within. The tank holding the liquid is made of copper, ensuring a long and trouble-free life. The intent of the machine is to test one’s lung capacity. A wonderful machine for the basement arcade and only a fraction of the price of an original example if one even had the possibility of finding one! SIZE: 71″ h x 13″ w x 12″ d. CONDITION: Overall very fine to near mint. 1-10963 (3,000-5,000)
