LOT OF 17 STEAMSHIP FRAMED PRINTS AND PHOTOS. Highlights of the lot include: 1) S.S. America steamship print in original marked frame from the United States Lines. The S.S. America’s maiden voyage was on Aug. 22, 1940. Very good condition. 32-1/2″ w x 23″ h. 2) Photograph of the French Line Flagship Ile de France, circa 1926. The “Ile de France” was launched in 1926 and ended service in 1959. Very good condition. 36-1/2″ w x 22-1/4″ h. 3) Photogravure of the French Line Steamship S.S. Normandie in original marked frame. The Normandie began service in 1935 and capsized and sank in 1942 while undergoing repairs. Good condition. 32″ w x 20″ h. 4) A pair of prints on canvas of the Holland – America Line S. S. Rotterdam in original marked frames. The Rotterdam was built in Holland and launched in 1958. Good to very good condition. 35-1/4″ w x 19-1/2″ h. 5) Photograph of the Cunard Steamship R.M.S. Ivernia built in 1955. Water stains to margins of the matte, otherwise good condition and in original frame. 26-1/2″ w x 22-1/2″ h. 6) Print of the United States Line Steamship S.S. United States that began service in 1952. Good to very good condition in original frame. 32-3/4″ w x 23-3/4″ h. 7) Stone lithographed poster from the Southern Pacific Atlantic Steamship Lines of their New York to New Orleans steamer “The Creole”. The Creole was launched Sept. 1906 from the Fore River Shipyard in Quincy, MA. Poster displays nicely; does have horizontal roll creasing. Sight Size: 28-1/2″ w x 17-1/2″ h. 8) Print from the Holland – America Line for their flagship “S. S. Nieuw Amsterdam”. The SS Nieuw Amsterdam was built in Holland and launched in 1938.
