DANCING SAM & DAN THE BANJO MAN WHIRLIGIG. Outstanding wooden whirligig from the first half of the 20th century. Manufactured by the Eau Claire Wood Products Co. of Eau Claire, Wisconsin. New old stock retains both its original paper labels on either side, instruction sheet, and original box bottom. These painted jointed wood men with decal overlays depict black minstrels playing a banjo and dancing a jig. When the wind blows, they are set into action. SIZE: 19-1/2″ l x 12-1/2″ h. CONDITION: Wood and paint are in near mint condition, apparently never assembled, used, or placed outside.
