PLANTERS’ PEANUT SCALE. Fantastic original cast aluminum body Mr. Peanut scale manufactured by Hamilton Scale, Toledo, OH. Rare to find an original example. Planters was founded in 1906 and sold these scales to employees who ran Planters stores. A Connecticut man who worked for Planters acquired 13 New England stores and hence a number of these scales, of which this is one. SIZE: 45″ t. CONDITION: Some paint loss to top hat and body in area of rear door with some overpaint, otherwise in very good condition. 1-6075 (9,000-12,000)
