“CHALLENGE” BRASS WINDMILL SALESROOM/SALESMAN SAMPLE. Fabulous working miniature windmill on wood base that appears to be manufactured and assembled with the precision of a fine watch. Windmill tail is hand lettered “Challenge” in red and black, with the ends of the turbine blades also painted red. All other surfaces are nicely patinated brass. The Challenge Mill Co. was founded in 1872 in Batavia, IL. This model appears to be their “Steel Windmill” which was produced between 1906-1927. SIZE: 39” h.
