DEXTER HORSE PLATFORM TOY. Circa 1880s by George Brown named for a famous 19th Century thoroughbred. Brown painted horse with black mane and tail on green base with four cast iron wheels. This stout horse is in full gallop is a great example of early American tin. SIZE: 12” l. x 7-1/2″ h. CONDITION: Significant flaking to both sides of horse, otherwise good. 1-5364 MC (600-800)
