17-1/2” RARE TWILL BODY PORTRAIT FASHION. Another fine doll from Sarah’s collection. This rare fashion, attributed to Simon & Halbig, is in an unusually large size. Her head and shoulder plate, which are unmarked, feature pale bisque with cobalt blue eyes. Lower arms are bisque, and the body which is completely covered by twill is jointed at shoulder, elbow, hip, knee, and ankle. An older fancy replacement dress covers the original cotton undergarments and brown leather shoes. (Doll lacking shoes). CONDITION: Overall condition is excellent. Some minor peppering to head.
