LOT OF 6 KEWPIE DOLLS. 1) 6″ standing Kewpie, arms strung, shield shaped decal on chest (Kewpie, Germany). CONDITION: Glued to replacement base. Slight chip on left wing, faint line at base of right wing, otherwise near excellent. 2) 5-1/2″ standing Kewpie, top knot shorter (possibly underfilled), arms strung. Marked “Nippon”. CONDITION: Near excellent. 3) 5″ standing Kewpie, arms strung, shield shaped decal on chest reading Kewpie, Germany”, plus decal on back reading “Rose O’Neill Copyright”. CONDITION: chip on right wing. Head has been reglued. 4) 4-1/2″ standing Kewpie, O’Neill script on bottom. CONDITION: Paint miss on right shoulder, top knot broken, remainder of glue where decals may have been, firing flaw at neck, otherwise good. 5) 4-1/2″ standing Kewpie, CONDITION: Glued to replacement base, firing flaw at left wing, slight speckling to head, otherwise good. 6) 2″ action Kewpie, playing mandolin, leaning on two books.
