TWO SETS OF DECORATIVE PLATES. 2nd half of 19th Century. Includes eleven 9-3/4″ paint decorated plates depicting a floral tree and birds with gilt edges and a group of ten English 9-1/2″ plates in the Imari palette. In an underglaze blue mark “IMPERIAL STONE”. SIZE: As noted. PROVENANCE: Woolworth Estate (F.W. Woolworth Dept. Store). CONDITION: The first with extensive loss to gilding on edges, otherwise very good. One plate with fleabite on edge. The Imperial Stone group – several examples with rim chips.
