ROOKWOOD FAIENCE ARCHITECTURAL GOTHIC STANDING FIGURE, MODEL 2030. Circa 1915. What is probably a floor candle holder depicting a robed female standing figure with crown in green matte Ombroso glaze. The back with incised molded mark “1724 Y”, also marked under base. Additional impressed mark “ROOKWOOD/FAIENCE” together with the numeral “9” in a circle. Reference: The Second Book of Rookwood Pottery by Herbert Peck, page 120, model 2030 titled “Gothic figure taken from 1817″ showing an image of the figure. SIZE: 36-3/4” h. PROVENANCE: From the private collection of Dorothy-Lee Jones. CONDITION: Piece retains all original surfaces with surface discoloration. Very good overall. 9-21464 (1,000-2,000)
