SWISS 8-TUNE MUSIC BOX WITH THREE BELLS & ANOTHER SWISS MUSIC BOX. Last quarter 19th century. First, rectangular case with hinged lid, simulated rosewood graining with string inlays opening to an interior fitted with a musical 8-tune mechanism. Tune sheet on lid. The second, in “as found” condition, the ebonized case with simulated mahogany graining. The hinged lid opening to an interior fitted with a musical mechanism. The cylinder moves freely on comb. SIZE: First: 8-1/2″ h x 18-1/2″ l x 11″ d. Second: 4-1/2″ h x 14-1/2″ l x 7-3/4″ d. CONDITION: First, case surfaces worn and in need of cleaning. Comb with multiple broken teeth. Mechanism in need of cleaning and restoration. Second, mechanism missing certain key elements such as changer and winder gear. In need of overall restoration. 9-20513, 9-20514 (800-1,200)
