TWO BLACK FOREST CARVED HAT RACKS AND A GAME PLAQUE. Circa 1900. The hat racks each with glass eyes. The first, a walnut carving of the head of a fox mounted to a back plate of carved oak leaves and branches terminating in a single curved, carved hook at the base. The second, a linden carving of a standing bear, a cub perched on its head, the legs in the form of chamois horns. The third piece, a game plaque of birds, chamois and long gun. SIZE: Fox: 11-1/4″ x 9-1/2″. Bear: 14″ x 3-1/4″. Plaque: 27-1/2″ x 12″. CONDITION: First two in original fine condition. Game plaque missing four pieces as noted from the back.
