AMERICAN FOLK ART FIGURAL CARD CADDY AND TABLE. First half of the 20th Century. The whimsical carved caddy in the form of a naked woman, a circular tray above her head wearing black shoes mounted on a turned plinth. The round table carved with a central farcical pair of lipstick coated lips supported by a singular human leg terminating in an exaggerated bare foot with red toe polish. A carved hand is seen gripping the edge of the table. SIZE: Card Caddy: 23-1/2″ h; 9-1/2″ tray dia. Table: 28″ h x 35″ overall dia. PROVENANCE: Barbara J. Thornsjo Estate, Albion, Maine CONDITION: Structurally very good with slight and normal wear, leg with shrinkage crack, painted surfaces original. 9-20841 (300-500)
