FINE DIMINUTIVE NEW ENGLAND CHIPPENDALE CURLY MAPLE CHEST OF DRAWERS IN OLD BITTERSWEET RED WASH. Last quarter 18th century. The rectangular top with molded edges projecting above the conforming case fitted with four long thumbmolded drawers, retaining original brasses, on a molded base raised on bracket feet with shaped returns. SIZE: 33-1/4″ h, 34-1/2″ w of case, 20-1/2″ d. CONDITION: With minor structural restoration including the reversal of the original backboards. The pegged top and pegged bracket feet are original. Glue blocks and rear bracket returns replaced. Drawer runners reset with two replacements. Very good overall. 9-20953 (7,500-9,500)
