STONEWARE FIGURE OF A BEARDED DAOIST IMMORTAL & TWO GLAZED EARTHENWARE FEMALE TOMB FIGURES. Stoneware figure being late 19th/early 20th century. This painted figure depicting a bearded and robed figure seated in a horseshoe back chair. Two earthenware figures in the style of the Tang Dynasty (618-907), China. The partially glazed earthenware figures depicting two kneeling ladies in waiting, each holding a book and wearing pleated orange and mustard colored robes. SIZE: 6-1/4″ h. CONDITION: Overall fair, painted surfaces work and faded. Two figures structurally very good. One figure with partial loss of nose. Both caked in clay. 9-98254 (1,000-1,500)
