AMERICAN IRON GALLEON WEATHERVANE. Second half 19th century. The well executed example of a Spanish galleon under full sail modeled with scalloped waves and applied with wire rigging and with wrought iron brackets and masts. SIZE: Weathervane: 24″ h x 36″ w. 34″ h including bracket. CONDITION: Structurally very good, retaining old, if not original, painted surfaces and original ironwork bracket. The “rigging” with numerous small breaks. Some minor bending at extremities and deterioration to all parts of iron structure. 9-98111 (800-1,200)
