AN EDWARDIAN STAMPED BRASS AND OAK STATIONERY BOX TOGETHER WITH A PAINT-DECORATED GLASS CORDIAL SET. Circa 1900. The cask-form letter box with hinged lid opening to compartments decorated overall with floral vinery on a molded oak plinth. The glass cordial set of egg form with hinged lid opening to a conforming tray fitted with six cordials and a glass decanter, the interior of case reverse painted in fiery orange, the exterior painted with floral sprays applied with glass beading. SIZE: First: 6″ x 9-1/2″ x 4-1/2″. Second: 8-1/2″ h. CONDITION: The box in fine overall condition with original surfaces. The cordial set with losses to exterior paint decoration, some losses to interior paint, brass lid rim needs re-attaching, small chip to neck of decanter, otherwise good condition. 9-90994 (100-200)
