PAIR OF ART DECO PATINATED METAL FIGURAL BOOKENDS, MAX LE VERRIER (French, 1918-1930). Circa 1930. Each in a verdigris finish and modelled with a female nude seated on a pedestal, arms extended reading a book. Signed in script at the base of the pedestal “M. Le Verrier”. Also stamped “France”. Both mounted on black and buff marble plinths. SIZE: Each: 7-1/4″ h. of statue x 8-1/2″ overall h. CONDITION: Very nice original surfaces, both showing expected wear on shoulder blades. 9-91150 (800-1,200)
