A FINE MASSACHUSETTS SHERATON CARVED MAHOGANY DRESSING TABLE, PROBABLY NORTH SHORE. Circa 1830. The rectangular deck top fitted with three aligned short drawers surmounted by a rectangular mirror plate within a mahogany surround suspended within a baluster- and spool-turned canted frame, the arms headed by carved pineapple finials, above the rectangular case fitted with a pair of aligned short drawers over a long drawer, all with figured mahogany fronts raised on ring-turned and acanthus carved legs joined by an incurved medial shelf raised on turned bun feet. SIZE: 64″ h. x 36″ overall w. x 20″ d. CONDITION: Very fine overall with old polished surfaces. Wooden knobs likely original, brass knobs later replacements. 9-90882 (800-1,200)
