JOSEPH HENRY HATFIELD (American, 1863-1928) “AFTERNOON INTERLUDE”. Oil on canvas spring scene shows a woman with flowers seated beside a huge tree at the edge of a field with split rail fence. The viewer looks through tree and can see a distant blue hill. Signed lower left “JH Hatfield”. Housed in a wonderful carved and gilt wide modern frame with decorative title and artist plaque.
