FINE AMERICAN ROCOCO REVIVAL ROSEWOOD CYLINDER SECRETARY. Third quarter of the 19th C. Upper section with a pair of glazed doors with a curved top crest and finials. The interior with birdseye and curly maple veneers. The cylinder opening with mechanical action that extends the writing surface as the top is raised and backed by a fitted and compartment lined maple interior. The base with a single frieze drawer over a pair of recessed cupboard doors, each having decorative molding and central applied carving. The drawer fitted with two carved leaf handles. SIZE: 102” h x 49” w x 48” at widest x 2” at deepest. CONDITION: Very good. 9-26381 (5,000-10,000)
