CLEMENTE TAFURI (Italian, 1903-1971) “DAUA PARMA GENNAIO 20 1936”. Unframed oil on canvas battle scene shows a large number of soldiers with pith helmets and guns with bayonets attached forging a river all under a setting sun sky. Several bursts hit water and one man has been hit in chest. Signed lower right “C. Tafuri Roma AXVI”. Titled on back of canvas. SIZE: 23-1/2” x 29-1/2”. CONDITION: Very good.
