J C FRISCH (German, 19th/20th Century) EUROPEAN VILLAGE MARKET SCENE. Oil on canvas scene shows a center square with many tents having merchants with produce. The square is lined with tall stone buildings flanking a central tall church steeple. A sailboat is seen at one side of square where there is a dock. Signed lower left “J.C. Frisch”. Housed in its original decorated carved wood frame. SIZE: 18” x 30”. CONDITION: Very good, one small pencil point hole in sky, surface dirt. 9-27187 (2,000-3,000)
