WONDERFUL EARLY ANTIQUE MUSTARD DECORATED DOME BOX. This early 19th Century box retains the original decoration with bright mustard coloration on ends, frontice and top. The top with an oval vignette of colorful red, blue, white and green flowers and the border of the oval vignette with rosewood-type graining. Each of the end panels of the box are bright mustard yellow with a spray of flowers and the frontice of the box with an escutcheon of mustard paint and a sprig of flowers and the outside of the escutcheon with identical rosewood decoration as the top. Retains original wire hinges and simple wire clasp. SIZE: 9-1/4”w x 5-1/4”d x 4-1/4”h. CONDITION: Small tight 2” crack in top. Paint generally very strong overall on this wonderful diminutive box.
