Oil on canvas scene shows a group of peasant farmers in hay field looking up towards a hot air balloon which passes in the distance over low hills. Signed lower right and dated “87”. Housed in an outstanding gesso decorated gilt wide frame. SIZE: 30” x 24”. CONDITION: Some minor flaking to woman’s hair, generally good. 9-25690 (500-1,000)
