ATTRIBUTED TO THOMAS CHAMBERS (American, 1808-1866) HUDSON RIVER LANDSCAPE. Oil on canvas scene shows river with rock and wooded banks winding below large steep mountain. Right side has stone bridge with arched opening with turret building above. Unsigned. The canvas is stamped “Prepared by Edwd. Dechaux New York, 22 by 27”. Housed in a replacement gilt and stained wood frame. SIZE: 22” x 27”. CONDITION: Restored with inpainting. 1” slit in sky. Otherwise very good. 9-25017 (1,500-2,500)
