HOWARD RUSSELL BUTLER (American, 1856-1934) “GLORIOUS DAY ON MAINE COAST”. Oil on canvas laid down on board scene shows water flowing through a gap of coastal rocks. Two-mast sailboat in distance with several seagulls flying. Signed lower right “HR Butler”. Original artists label on reverse indicating title, artist, price and date. Appears to be dated 1913. SIZE: 25” x 32”. CONDITION: Board has been mounted to original stretcher. There are two chips along left edge of rocks. Otherwise, very good. 9-93908 (3,000-5,000)
