MID ATLANTIC CHIPPENDALE WALNUT ONE DRAWER TAVERN TABLE. Second half of the 18th Century. Rectangular two board top projecting above the conforming frieze fitted with single drawer raised on square molded legs joined by a rectangular box stretcher. SIZE: 26″ h x 31″ w x 22-1/2″ d. CONDITION: Retains old original surfaces, overall in worn but very good condition. Two board top has been turned at an early point, glue blocks on exterior of frame are old, some shrinkage cracks and small repairs at top of legs juncture to table top. Table top exhibits usual and expected amount of staining and wear. No splicing to legs, box stretcher in good condition. Table is fully pegged. 9-91813 (3,000-6,000)
