COLORFUL 19TH CENTURY SALTILLO SARAPE. Center concentric jagged diamond, vertical mosaic field with a zigzag pointed edged border. Colors of red, green, blue, ivory and black. The central blue diamond accents the eye dazzling effect of this sarape. The piece is bordered with a 1/2” binding, which is old and may or may not be original. In one of the corners is a large hand stitched “M”. PROVENANCE: From a Beacon Hill, Boston Estate. SIZE: 52” w x 87” l. CONDITION: Generally very good. Some very small repairs. 9-94058 (4,000-8,000)
