NEEDLEWORK PICTORAL SAMPLER BY ROSE ANNE FLANNELLY 1836. The rectangular sampler has a flowering vine border and a central verse “who fed me from her gentel breast and hushed me in her arms to rest and on my lips sweet kissed prest my mother” Above the verse is a large basket/urn of flowers flanked by two birds and two trees. Below verse is her name and date and age flanked by two large birds on flowering branch. Housed in a modern molded wood dark frame with gold inner liner and glass. SIGHT SIZE: 14-1/2” x 13”. CONDITION: Professionally stretched and framed with a linen back. There are some holes and brown toning. Generally good. 9-73206 (500-1,000)
