SPRINGFIELD MODEL 1884 RAMROD BAYONET RIFLE. Cal .45-70. 32-5/8” round bbl. “SWP” cartouche dated 1891 on the left side of the stock. Late 1-pc trigger guard. Large issue marks “71 / 255” on the right side of the stock and “D / 35” on top of the comb. SN 527983. CONDITION: Very good with blue brown patina on bbl , 60% blue on the lock and trigger guard, light pitting on the buttplate. Wood has three cracks at the front of the trigger guard but is otherwise sound with normal dents and scratches. Action and bore are fine. 4-49584 FS106 (1,000-1,750)
