JOHN RUHLANDER PITCHER Very rare pitcher by noted New Jersey glass artist John Ruhlander has opaque white swirls against a rose colored background. Pitcher is finished with an applied clear handle in beautiful sweeping design. This exact pitcher is illustrated in The Glass Gaffers of New Jersey by Adeline Pepper on page 260. The pitcher was acquired by our consignor directly from descendents of John Ruhlander. It is our understanding that John Ruhlander worked at Whithall Tatum and that virtually all of his works were made on his own time as one of a kind pieces that he brought home to his family and to this day nearly all of these remain in the hands of the family. SIZE: 10″ t. CONDITION: Very good to excellent. 5-65575 (5,000-8,000)
