FEDERAL MAHOGANY SIDEBOARD, PROBABLY OHIO. First quarter 19th century. The D-form top above the conforming case fitted with a central hinged drawer opening to a desk with an arrangement of 5 drawers above 5 valanced pigeon holes above a pair of cupboard doors flanked by a bank of two drawers with bow fronts, the whole raised on six tapered legs. SIZE: 42-1/2″ h x 73-1/2″ l x 24-3/4″ d. PROVENANCE: By descent through the original family. CONDITION: Retains original surfaces and hardware, structurally very good. The doors with small shrinkage cracks on seams. Original backboards. 9-20677 (2,000-3,000)
