OUTSTANDING REGENCY BRASS MOUNTED ROSEWOOD CABINET. First quarter of the 19th Century. Shaped top has back gallery railing over a long bowfront drawer and two bowed glass doors. Flanked by a side faux drawer and faux glass door. Brass line inlay to cabinet and drawers. Diamond shaped ivory escutcheons. There are four columns in the Egyptian motif with sphinx capitols, tapered wood column having brass inlay ending in human feet. Decorative brass applied band to base. All resting on turned and pointed feet. Two interior shelves. SIZE: 34” to top of gallery x top size 35-1/4” x 12” d. CONDITION: One piece of brass inlay loose, left capitol missing, right capitol detached but present. Back left leg is loose. Otherwise, very good. 12-12253 (4,000-6,000)
