ATTRIBUTED TO HOWARD PYLE (American, 1853-1911) DIVIDING THE SPOILS. Oil on canvas scene shows three pirates around a table and one man is rolling dice out of a shaker. It is an interior of a ship’s cabin. There is a woman in a green dress whom has wrists tied up. She sits next to gold coins, treasure chest and other booty. The scene is shown at an angle, which gives the sense of the ship rocking. Appears to be signed in the center bottom in black “Pyle”. Housed in a fine gilt molded wood replacement frame. SIZE: 18” x 22”. CONDITION: Relined with some inpainting. Very good. 9-27057 (8,000-12,000)
