24TH AERO SQUADRON BANNER. Mounted in a glazed frame, it is dated 1918-1919. The banner was probably made in Coblenz, Germany while the Squadron was serving with the Army of Occupation. It depicts the Squadron’s insignia which was an American eagle pouncing on a German dachshund and the Squadron’s legend above. SIZE: 22” x 21-1/2”. CONDITION: Fine overall, with minor moisture spotting on green velvet background. 4-50161 CW20 (400-600)
