IMPORTANT INLAID PENNSYLVANIA WALNUT CORNER CUPBOARD. Probably 18th century, Chester County, Pennsylvania. Important cupboard has flush panel doors above and below, the top having string inlay on the sides of the panels with inlaid Gothic arch top, lowers doors with string inlays beside panels and tombstone arches inlaid above. Cabinet rests on a short cutout bracket base. The entire piece including backboards constructed with wood pegs. Secondary wood is also walnut. SIZE: 88″ h x 47″ w. PROVENANCE: From a fine Kentucky Estate. CONDITION: Appears to be all original. Small fillet slivers added to fill exposed shrinkage. Finish of a later vintage but retains very nice original color. 9-92256 (1,000-1,500)
