LUDWIG LOEWE #3 RUSSIAN 3RD MODEL REVOLVER. Cal. 44RF. Blued finish, 6-1/2” keyhole ribbed bbl, integral front sight, Loewe Cyrillic bbl address with Russian inspector mark and “EB” proof. Rim fire firing pin strikes though a hole in the frame rather than an open top notch like the American version and the firing pin’s nose is beveled on each side rather than flat. CONDITION: Very good, all matching except the grips which are unnumbered but fit perfectly. Retains about 15% original blue overall with the balance having flaked to gray metal crisp edges. There are a couple of spots of deep pitting on the cylinder and some battered screws. Hammer retains about 50% case colors, trigger guard is silver, case hardening. Grips are fine with a hand rubbed patina. Shiny bore with light pitting in the grooves, crisp mechanics. 4-48016 JR94 (Anderson Collection) (1,000-2,500)
