SMALL 19TH CENTURY PAINTED DOME TOP BOX. The painted dovetailed box has a black background with a colorful green and red feathered design on top and in front, the sides with light stenciling. Also the edge of top has light stenciling of opposing hearts with arrows. Mustard colored edges. Small butt hinges and original locking hardware, missing key. Original paint in a nice size, decorated box. PROVENANCE: Thulin Estate, Hamden, Maine. SIZE: 9” h x 20” l x 11” d. CONDITION: Appears to be all original with several cracks at nail heads at top, otherwise very good. 9-29896 (500-700)
