GEORGE III INLAID MAHOGANY LIFT TOP WASHSTAND. Second half of the 18th Century. The hinged top opening outwards in two sections revealing a cutout for a wash basin and an extending dressing mirror fit within the case, above the frieze with ebony stringing above a cupboard door flanked by string-inlaid panels over a long drawer above a simulated drawer, raised on square tapered legs. SIZE: 32″ h x 20″ x w x 19″ d. CONDITION: Retains old polished surfaces. Repaired and restored shrinkage cracks. Inlay intact, retains original hardware. 9-95276 (500-750)
