EXTRAORDINARY STEEL CONTINENTAL TRAMMEL. Engraved early steel trammel has the following inscription: “WAMACNKELEUT ANNO 1790”. There is a basket of wheat, a flaming heart with rake and animal, a cross and S-leaf design. Saw tooth adjustable with the adjusting arm having a cutout bird design. The top having a pierced crest. The entire piece has three iron knobs with brass backing and there is a small brass profile face above writing. SIZE: 34-1/2” h x 16” at widest. CONDITION: Sliding mechanism is bound but generally very good with only slight defects. 9-70570 (1,000-3,000)
