*WINCHESTER MODEL 1904 SINGLE SHOT RIFLE. Cal. 22. NSN. Standard rifle with a 21” rnd bbl with integral receiver, Jack front sight and a Model 40 rear sight. It is mounted in a beautifully figured gum wood stock, schnable forearm and serpentine metal trigger guard/grip. It has a perch belly butt with crescent rifle buttplate. It is accompanied by a homemade box made of oak with a divider to separate the bbl and stock with compartments that contain a rare green Winchester oil can, scarce Winchester rust remover and a tube of Winchester gun grease. Also included are four early boxes of Winchester 22 ammunition, three boxes of Stetson patent 2-pc green label boxes, one full, one empty and one partial and a later box of 22 long shot containing six rnds and Winchester cartridge box inserts. And finally, it contains a Winchester Junior Rifle Corps marksman badge, an original metal wiping rod and an original small Winchester wood handle screwdriver. CONDITION: As new. Rifle retains virtually all of its bright factory finish to both metal and wood with some minor surface etching on the bottom of the bbl. Stock has light nicks and scratches and some flaking on the trigger guard. Mechanics are fine, brilliant shiny bore. Ammunition boxes are lightly soiled and one has a hole in the top. Boxes for the rust remover and grease are also lightly soiled but intact. Wooden box is fine. 4-52435 JR654 (1,000-1,500)
