NEW ENGLAND FEDERAL INLAID CHERRY BOWFRONT CHEST OF DRAWERS. First quarter 19th century. The rectangular top with bowed front and string inlay above the conforming case of four cockbeaded long drawers on a molded base raised on shaped bracket feet. SIZE: 32″ h. x 38-1/2″ overall w. x 35-3/4″ case w. x 20-1/2″ d. PROVENANCE: From an East Sangerville, Maine private collection. Acquired from Robert Hall, Dover-Foxcroft, Maine in the 1950/60’s by the present owner’s parents. CONDITION: Retains early cleaned surface. Top with patch right front corner facing, one-inch spliced addition back of top, old replaced hardware, 3-inch piece of facing off drawer divider. Otherwise good. 9-94938 (1,000-2,000)
