MARIE LAURENCIN (French, 1885-1956) PORTRAIT OF A GIRL. Gouache on paper half portrait of a girl with a colorful red and black beret. It appears that she is wearing a cape with large ball decoration at front. Signed lower left. The paper has been glued to the matte and appears to been removed from an artist sketch pad and one side trimmed while on matte. Housed in a modern decorated wood frame. PROVENANCE: From a Houlton, Maine Estate. SIGHT SIZE: 17-1/2” x 14-1/2”. CONDITION: Very good. 9-96285 (300-500)
