PAIRPOINT COMPOTE. Rare and unusual reverse and obverse painted compote supported by an ornate floral silver-plated stand. Compote depicts a peach tree with fruit, leaves and branches. Signed on the underside of base on the rim of a circle “Pairpoint Mfg. Co. New Bedford Mass” and on the inside of the circle is “P” inside of a diamond and “Quadruple Plate” surrounding diamond and “B4701” under the circle. PROVENANCE: Collection of Ed & Sheila Malakoff. SIZE: 11” x 10”. CONDITION: Metal portion of the glass compote has been re-attached as well as restoration to glass. Silver-plating on base is worn. 5-63065 (1,000-1,500)
