*WINCHESTER PRE-WAR MODEL 1894 SADDLE RING CARBINE. Cal. 32-40. Standard carbine with 20” bbl, full magazine, blued square base front sight with ladder carbine rear sight and a stud and ring in the receiver. Very nicely figured uncheckered wood with straight stock and smooth steel carbine buttplate. SN 608430. CONDITION: Extremely fine. Bbl and magazine tube retain 96-97% strong bright original blue. Receiver retains 96-97% strong original blue with thin edges and a couple of scratches on the right side. Buttstock is extremely bright and retains virtually all its original finish with a couple of minor nicks and a bruise. Forearm retains about 95% original finish with several small nicks and scratched on left side, gouge on the right and another on the bottom. Bright shiny bore, frosty in the grooves. 4-48806 JR616 (3,000-4,500)
