R.S. (German, 19th/20th Century) PAIR OF CASTLE WATERCOLORS. Both show a large stone castle in fine detail. They are signed “R.S.” and one may be “St.”. Housed in gesso decorated gold frames with thick white mattes. High quality watercolors with a fine provenance. PROVENANCE: From the Joseph Pulitzer cottage “Chatwold” Bar Harbor, Maine to our consignor. SIGHT SIZE: 15-1/4″ x 10-3/4″. CONDITION: There is some foxing, mostly to edges but generally good. 9-28869 (800-1200)
