UNSIGNED (American, Mid 19th Century) PORTRAIT OF A WOMAN. Oil on canvas three quarter view of a woman seated at a table covered in a red tablecloth. She wears a black dress with lace collar and lace bonnet. Her arm rests on the table holding a pair of silver eyeglasses. A knitting project is seen next to her hand just below a tall Sinumbra lamp with cut glass shade. Housed in a pine ogee frame with gold liner which is a modern replacement. SIZE: 32” x 26”. CONDITION: Craquelure with some surface grime. Good. 9-70749 (1,000-2,000)
