RARE TIFFANY MUSHROOM LAMP. Very rare and unusual favrile glass lamp is constructed of two favrile glass components. The first being a green and gold base with stem extending to hold light bulb socket. The second being a bluish green shading to gold mushroom shade and stem. The shade stem slides over the base stem and rests on the saucer foot. Base glass is attached to bronze disk with five ball feet. Similar example is pictured in the book “The Tiffany Collection of the Chrysler Museum at Norfolk” page 130, photo #189. Impressed in the bronze bottom “Tiffany Studios New York” and bearing the Tiffany Glass & Decorating logo also impressed with the number “23693” which is scratched out and the number “23639” impressed below. SIZE: 12” t x approx. 6-1/2” dia. CONDITION: Small imperfection at the base of the shade stem, which appears to be either a small chip or an accidental slip of the grinding wheel. The lamp has been rewired, otherwise very good to excellent. 5-69049 (4,000-6,000)
