ANTIQUE WINCHESTER MODEL 1894 SPECIAL ORDER RIFLE. Cal. 30WCF (30-30). Fine special order rifle with 26” oct bbl, special order button magazine with uncheckered wood, capped pistol grip stock with crescent steel buttplate. Front sight is a Marbles “improved” tunnel sight. Rear dovetail has a slot blank. Left side of the receiver is mounted with a long Lyman #21 receiver sight. SN 85956. CONDITION: Good to very good. Bbl retains 92-94% strong original blue with edge wear. Receiver retains 50-60% thinning original blue. Wood is sound with the forearm having an after market checkering pattern and the wood retains most of an old refinish. Strong bright bore, frosty in the grooves. 4-48425 (3,000-3,500)
